Our effort to offer fabrics that reduce environmental impact without compromising durability or design is an integral part of our product selection and design process. You will find these symbols on many of our sample cards.
Recycling Program
Douglass Industries
is pleased to announce our recycling program in conjunction with
American Fibers and Yarns.
From this point forward, all of Douglass’ polyolefin fabrics can be recycled and re-generated to produce a variety of durable goods. These fabrics can be sent to the AF&Y Technology Center in Georgia. They will then be sent on to be converted into inert resin pellets. These pellets will offset the need for virgin plastic pellets derived directly from world oil production flow, thus greatly minimizing environmental impact. The recycled resin will be used in various applications, including automotive interior and under-hood parts, flower pots, weed block fabrics and water filters.
